Project Overview

This project consists of the design, fabrication, and construction of two large-scale steel structure factory buildings in Ghana. Developed to support industrial manufacturing operations, the facilities provide modern production space with excellent thermal insulation, durability, and operational efficiency.

The project combines the strength and flexibility of a steel structure system with high-performance insulated wall and roof panels, creating a comfortable working environment suitable for year-round industrial production.

Building Design Features

The two workshops utilize a portal frame steel structure system designed to provide large clear-span interior spaces with minimal internal obstructions. This allows maximum flexibility for production line arrangement, machinery installation, and material handling operations.

A 1.8-meter brick base wall was incorporated to enhance impact resistance, improve durability, and provide additional protection against moisture and daily operational wear. Above the masonry section, 50mm glass wool sandwich panels were installed to provide thermal insulation, noise reduction, and energy efficiency.

Key Features

  • Total construction area of 14,616 m²
  • Twin industrial workshop configuration
  • High-strength steel structure framing
  • Large clear-span production areas
  • 1.8m reinforced brick base walls
  • 50mm glass wool insulated wall panels
  • 50mm glass wool insulated roof panels
  • Excellent thermal and acoustic performance
  • Fast construction and installation
  • Low maintenance requirements

Structural and Insulation Advantages

The steel structure system offers outstanding strength-to-weight performance, reducing foundation loads while maintaining excellent structural stability. The insulated sandwich panel system significantly improves indoor temperature control, helping reduce energy consumption and creating a more comfortable working environment for employees.

The combination of masonry walls and insulated panels provides both durability and energy efficiency, making the buildings well-suited for industrial applications in Ghana’s climate conditions.
